Meet Sara
I am a queer therapist specializing in neurodivergent and gender affirming therapy for adults and couples. I welcome people of all backgrounds and identities and often work with women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and those who are or think they might be ADHD, Autistic, or living with PMDD.
Many of my clients are navigating overwhelm or shutdown, difficulties with daily tasks or emotional regulation, communicating needs, identity questions, relationship dynamics, life changes, chronic or autoimmune conditions, and symptoms of anxiety or depression. I provide a supportive space to explore these challenges and move toward feeling more grounded, connected, and empowered.
Specializations
You deserve care that fits your unique style of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world. All of these areas can affect your quality of life and your relationships, especially over time when you don’t have the right support. Together, we’ll explore your concerns in a way that feels right for you and honors how your brain naturally works.
ADHD
ADHD is when focus, energy, and attention don’t always match what you need to do or what you feel like you're supposed to be able to do. It can feel frustrating and unpredictable while also unique to you.
High Sensitivity
High sensitivity is a trait where your nervous system notices and responds more strongly to sights, sounds, emotions, or stressors. This can mean you feel deeply and process experiences more intensely than others.
Anxiety/Depression
Feeling wound up or even “buzzing” with anxiety or feeling very low, dull, or muted with depression. The lingering effects of anxiety or depression (or a cycle of both!) can make life heavier and harder.
Overwhelm
Overwhelm is when everything on your plate feels too much at once. Even small tasks can feel impossible to manage. Overwhelm can become a chronic or constant feeling. You may label yourself as "easily overwhelmed".
Autism
Autism is a brain difference that affects how you communicate, process information, and experience the world. It can feel frustrating when navigating social situations, changes, or sensory challenges.
Autoimmune illness
When your immune system reacts in ways that make your body feel tired, sore, flared, or generally unwell. Symptoms often pile up and become hard to manage on a daily basis.
Coping Skills
Coping skills are learned ways to get through hard moments without making things worse. We are often not taught these well in childhood!
PMDD
PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) is a sensitivity to your body's natural hormone fluctuation around your menstrual cycle. It can make you feel like a completely different person. These shifts can last for a week or two each cycle.
Trauma/CPTSD
Trauma or complex PTSD happens when past distressing experiences continue to affect emotions, thoughts, and reactions. This can shape how someone responds to stress, relationships, and everyday life.
